About the event
Pain is a universal human experience — but understanding it can change everything. This engaging workshop unpacks the science of pain in a clear, relatable way, helping participants move beyond fear and confusion to empowerment and action.
Through the lens of evidence-based neuroscience, we’ll explore why we hurt, even when there’s no clear injury, and how our brain, body, and environment all play a role in shaping pain. You’ll also learn about the different pain mechanisms — including nociceptive, neuropathic, and nociplastic pain — and how they affect treatment and recovery.
Whether you're living with persistent pain, supporting someone who is, or simply curious, this session will help you see pain differently — not as something to fear, but as something you can influence.
In this workshop, you will learn:
How pain really works — and why it’s not just about injury.
The difference between acute and chronic pain.
