INTEGRATIVE THERAPY FOR
NERVOUS SYSTEM HEALING
At Inner Silence, therapy is more than rehabilitation—it’s a journey toward balance, awareness, and inner peace. Rooted in the understanding that the nervous system is the foundation of health, each session is designed to help you gently recalibrate body and mind, creating space for calm, clarity, and renewal.
We specialize in supporting individuals living with chronic pain, including Fibromyalgia, CRPS, Radiculopathy, Migraine, Back/Neck Pain, Sciatica, Restless Leg Syndrome and TMJ, as well as those navigating chronic conditions such as chronic fatigue, PTSD, sleep disorders, digestive issues (including IBS), autoimmune conditions, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and sensory sensitivities. These experiences often reflect a nervous system that’s been overworked, overwhelmed, or stuck in survival mode. Our work helps guide it back toward safety, rest, and harmony.
Every session is uniquely tailored to the individual—honoring your story, your body, and your current state of being. Drawing from up-to-date neuroscience and the wisdom of ancient healing traditions, sessions blend science with integrative mind-body practices such as:
-
Gentle movement and yoga therapy to reconnect body awareness and flow
-
Mindfulness and meditation to calm the mind and deepen presence
-
Energy healing and breathwork to release tension and restore vitality
-
Neurodynamics to decrease nerve sensitivity and improve mobility
-
Graded motor imagery to retrain the brain and reduce pain responses
-
Ayurvedic-inspired lifestyle guidance to support natural rhythms and balance
-
Education and self-regulation strategies for nervous system resilience
Occupational Therapy focuses on helping you build the skills for the “job of living”—and that begins with reconnecting to your body’s wisdom and inner calm. The goal is to foster complete independence in your health, empowering you to understand your body, regulate your nervous system, and rely less on ongoing care from providers. When your nervous system feels safe and centered, you can move through life with more ease, purpose, and joy.
At Inner Silence, the work is gentle, mindful, and deeply personal. Each session meets you where you are—helping you restore balance, reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and live from a place of calm awareness and grounded connection.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Step 1
INITIAL EVALUATION
We will meet for a 90 minute initial visit. During this time, we will discuss, in detail, the history of your symptoms including your detailed medical history, medications you use, and most importantly, how your symptoms are impacting your participation in your life and daily activities - work, play, family life, + more. From the information obtained during this first visit, we, together, will develop a plan to regulate your nervous system to reduce physical symptoms of stress and/or pain to improve your participation in life.
Step 2
TREATMENT SESSIONS
After establishing your care plan, you will have 60-minute sessions tailored to your preferences. We will use therapeutic techniques appropriate and individualized to you which may include: mindfulness/meditation, yoga, Ayurveda, breath work, energy healing and relaxation strategies to enhance body awareness, alleviate tension, and reduce stress. Self-regulation practices will help manage emotional responses and balance the nervous system, promoting resilience. If you are experiencing chronic pain, sessions may also include education in pain neuroscience, neurodynamics to desensitize the peripheral nervous system, and graded motor imagery. Sessions are fully collaborative and your participation in "homework" will aid your progress, with a goal of reducing symptoms and enhancing daily activity engagement. It is my goal that by the end of each session you will experience a decrease in your pain and/or symptoms and overtime, improved function. We will determine the optimum number of sessions required to meet your goals during your initial evaluation. Typically, we schedule 4, 8, or 12 sessions and either once or twice per week.
Step 3
MAINTANENCE PROGRAMS
After completing your initial therapeutic plan, you may find it helpful to have regular follow-ups. These sessions can support you in maintaining optimal nervous system function and help prevent any imbalances. You can schedule these appointments as needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapists (OT) focus on the things you want and need to do in your daily life. Occupational therapy intervention uses everyday life activities (occupations) to promote health, well-being, and your ability to participate in the important activities in your life. This includes any meaningful activity that a person wants to accomplish, including taking care of yourself and your family, working, volunteering, going to school, among many others.
Do you accept insurance?
In order to provide the most personalized, flexible, and confidential care possible, we have chosen not to work with insurance companies. This allows us to focus entirely on your individual needs, without the limitations, diagnoses, or time restrictions often imposed by insurance policies. By not accepting insurance, we are able to protect your privacy, avoid the medicalization of your experience, and offer a more holistic, client-centered approach to healing. This decision also supports our Pay What You Can Afford model, ensuring that care remains accessible without the influence of third-party systems.
What is a therapeutic pain specialist (TPS)?
A TPS is a therapist (OT) who is a highly skilled practitioner with advanced clinical competency in evaluation and treatment of chronic pain.
